In 1974, Mark Grill was working in rental account development and sales for a company specializing in heavy equipment such as tractors, trucks, and bulldozers. When a recession forced the company to downsize, Mark seized the opportunity to start his own business and purchased the inventory of his former employer, using it to start Aaction Rents & Equipment with his brother Paul. Later their brother John joined them and the family-owned and operated Aaction Rents that serves Sonoma County today was formed.

Today, Aaction Rents has grown to become the largest full-service equipment rental company in Sonoma County, with a staff of fully trained, knowledgable employees and an atmosphere of mutual respect and team members that can only come from a truly family-owned and operated business. This friendship and care extend to clients as well, providing the customer-oriented, considerate service Aaction Rents are known for.
